CCH Acquires iDube Cold Storage, Another Proud Link

We're excited to share some big news from Commercial Cold Holdings (CCH). CCH, one of the top 25 largest cold storage and logistics providers in the world,  has announced the acquisition of iDube Cold Storage in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. This strategic move adds another proud link to the CCH Cold Chain and strengthens our ability to keep it cool across Africa.

Expanding Our Reach in Durban

The iDube facility adds 9,000 pallets of refrigerated capacity to our network in Durban, increasing our total capacity in KwaZulu Natal to 25,000 pallet positions. This expansion is about more than just numbers—it's about enhancing our ability to deliver seamless, reliable cold storage solutions where they're needed most. As a proud link in the CCH Cold Chain, CCS is committed to using this new capacity to better serve our customers in the region.

Growing Our Footprint

This acquisition also contributes to CCH’s growing footprint, bringing the total capacity to 153,000 pallet positions across 11 facilities in South Africa and Namibia.

Francois Roux, Chief Commercial Officer at CCH, highlighted the significance of this move: “iDube will significantly enhance our capabilities in the region, increasing our total capacity in KwaZulu Natal to 25,000 pallet positions. This new addition complements our already established and well-known Keystone Park facility.”
